Celeriac Neon F1 is renowned for its exceptional garden performance and reliability, producing large, broad roots that are perfect for high yields. The white fleshy roots are crisp and crunchy, ideal for use in a variety of dishes, both raw and cooked.
Sowing instructions:
Sow indoors: a warm kitchen windowsill is all you need for starting these seeds. Sow1.5cm (1/2") deep in trays of seed compost. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 15-20?C (60-68?F) is ideal.
Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days. Transplant to other trays 5cm (2") apart when seedlings are large enough to handle. Grow on in cooler, but not cold conditions.
Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out 25cm (10") apart in rows 30cm (1) apart. Plant so that the upper swollen part of the root sits on the suface of the soil.
Water well and remove outer leaves as roots swell.
Give a liquid feed during summer to increase yields. Roots can be stored in a cool, dry, airy location for several months.
